Erg chigaga desert camp 4 days

Discover the magic of Morocco on this unforgettable Chigaga 4 days- tour. From the rugged peaks of the Atlas Mountains to the endless sand dunes of the Sahara; be enchanted by ancient kasbahs, authentic Berber culture and the overwhelming silence of the desert.

Day 1:

The tour begins with a spectacular drive over the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, which leads you to the impressive Draa Valley. You’ll pass through Ouarzazate, known as Morocco’s film capital, and end the day at a historic 17th-century kasbah, where you can explore the oasis and the traditional architecture.

Day 2:

Leaving Zagora and the famous Tamegroute, where you’ll discover local crafts such as pottery, you’ll leave the tarmac behind. In a 4×4, you’ll drive along desert tracks towards the impressive sand dunes of Erg Chigaga. Here, you’ll enjoy a sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a charming tented camp under the starry sky, including a camel ride.

Day 3:

After watching the sunrise over the dunes, you’ll continue your journey across the dried-up Lake Iriki. This is a place steeped in history, where you can search for fossils yourself. Via Foum Zguid and Tazenakht, known for their traditional carpet weaving, you’ll reach Ait Ben Haddou. This UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous film location is the perfect place to round off the day in a charming riad.

Day 4:

On the final day, you’ll follow the ancient caravan route back towards Marrakech. En route, you’ll visit the remarkable Telouet Palace, before arriving back in the bustling city of Marrakech in the afternoon.
